Bogosi is an important African tradition, which has over the centuries managed to run the affairs of African countries even before the arrival of the white people in the continent.

As a result this website contains events of Bogosi (in other words, chieftainship) about the King Masilo II of Bakwena tribe, who passed away in 1914. It chronicles the ordeals or challenges that the Royal Masilo House met since 1911 up to today.
It is important to share this information with the rest of the world because the discourse is an international one as historical sources about the Kingdom of the Masilos in Southern Africa can be found in archival records of countries such as Great Britain, South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho and Namibia, South Africa (Tshwane, North West Province to mention but a few).

We post on this website initial information as follows:
  1. A copy of the Masilo Royal Family Tree is posted below. It is a royal genealogical tree indicating the origins of the Masilos as well as their reigns.
  2. The 10 paged sworn Affidavit by the Masilos dated 21st November 2008, detailing the nature and composite of the Masilos' Bogosi. It was addressed to the President of Botswana, Seretse Khama Ian Khama and was delivered on the 21st November 2008 to his office. The proceeding correspondences are letters that are in conformity to this sworn Affidavit. The Affidavit succinctly, tells the world who the descendent of King Masilo II is and why. It also explains the nature of Bogosi, that it is a Kingdom.
  3. The 12 paged "Confidential Letter" dated 14th May 2010 and addressed to His Majesty King Letsie III of Lesotho, copied to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, President Barrack Obama of the United States (USA) and President Nicolas Sarkozy of France. This letter that follows the abovementioned Affidavit, unearths chicanery by Botswana's current President Seretse Khama Ian Khama in his efforts to thwart the Masilos from assuming their traditional heritage, by using state resources.
  4. The other extremely sensitive correspondence is a 35 paged letter dubbed "Top Secret" dated 22 July 2010 and addressed to His Majesty King Letsie III of Lesotho, copied to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, President Barrack Obama of the USA and President Nicolas Sarkozy of France. By far, this is the most thorough and dangerous document that details the naked truth on how the government of Botswana under President Seretse Khama Ian Khama is thwarting the Masilos' course as well as her futile attempts to assassinate the Masilos.
  5. A five paged "Covering Letter" dated 29th July 2010 and addressed to His Excellency President of the Republic of Botswana, Seretse Khama Ian Khama. The said letter was a covering letter that accompanied the two letters mentioned above. It was copied to His Majesty King Letsie III of Lesotho, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, President Barrack Obama of the USA and President Nicolas Sarkozy of France. The three voluminous letters were sent to the Office of the President's Registry Department on the 02nd August 2010. The five paged letter was a clear demonstration on our part that we have no subversive or ulterior motive against the seating President and his government. It informs him that culture supersedes his presidency because he was born a Chief of a tribe first, before he became a President. It also informs him that, by tradition, we are his parents and that the country's Constitution that he is using to hide behind, is far too junior to our indigenous rights.
  6. A letter dated 27th July 2010 entitled "Message of Forgiveness" to Keineetse Sebele, Daniel Kwelagobe, Festus Mogae, David Magang, Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe and Phakalitlha Mosisili, Prime Minister of Lesotho.
  7. Another letter, herein posted is a letter addressed to the Paramount Chief of Bakgatla Tribe in Mochudi, Botswana (Kgafela II), dated 26th November 2010. It is important to include this letter because it unveils a lot of chicanery by the current government of Botswana under the leadership of President Seretse Khama Ian Khama. This letter, even though it is also posted in Setswana language, is summarised under the section, "International Press Release" below. "Due to respecting governing laws that state that a case in the courts cannot be discussed in public, we have decided NOT TO AS YET put it online for consumption and as such await the court's decision and publish the said letter unchanged"
  8. Most documents are written in Setswana language because the issue is a traditional one.
